A campaign is aiming to propel a Palestinian lullaby to the peak of the festive singles chart. The campaign hopes to send support to people in Gaza while also showcasing Palestinian culture and creativity.

A Chance for Unity and an "Unlikely Coup"

Musician and artist Brian Eno, who contributes to the track, stated that the single 'Lullaby' represents a opportunity to show solidarity with Palestinians this festive season. He remarked the potential for an unexpected chart success.

“It would be fantastic if that occurred, yes,” he stated. “I’m not gonna be completely let down if it doesn't manage to, Christmas singles are a category of their own.”

Defiant Message of Dignity and Freedom

Palestinian singer Nai Barghouti, who sings on the adaptation of a cultural piece called Yamma Mwel El Hawa, explained the track's powerful central theme.

“It occupies a deeply meaningful spot for countless listeners,” Barghouti shared. “The message is that I would choose to perish with honor than spend my life without freedom. That’s the main theme of the song; we desire to exist a respectful existence that we merit as a people.”

The single was laid down following a solidarity show held in September. First conceived to be captured during the live event, the piece was cut from the show due to scheduling overruns.

The impressive roster of artists featured on Lullaby encompasses a selection of prominent voices from the industry. All participated in the September show, which successfully generated a substantial amount for relief efforts.

Production and Release

Lullaby was produced by a trio of talented individuals. The song features a fusion of the traditional Arabic lyrics with new English lyrics.

The group managing the initiative have stated that their goal is to collect the highest amount for a charitable pot. These resources will be allocated to Palestinian causes through an partnering humanitarian organization.

“We haven't set a specific target,” a figure explained. “We’ll go for the maximum achievable. Naturally, the higher the total, the greater the impact. It all goes out to those in need in Gaza.”

The reality in the area was noted for its profound destruction, with a overwhelming percentage of buildings said to be in ruins or severely impacted.

“Against that backdrop, a handful of millions won't make an enormous impact. But I think what truly matters is above all spreading knowledge of this plight and demonstrating the human dimension of the story.”

The single 'Lullaby' is set to be released on Friday. Additionally, a video of the benefit event will be made ready to watch on a digital service from later in the month.
