Devoted fans of the actress are demanding that a man who leaped a barrier and grabbed the actress during yesterday's Wicked: For Good debut be detained or deported from Singapore.

A widely shared video reveals the person identified as Johnson Wen shoving aside photographers and charging at Grande while the performers made its way down a promenade surrounded by fans.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo immediately wrested the shocked actress away from Mr Wen, who was observed being removed of the gathering by event staff.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "released after being arrested", though court documents indicated that he was scheduled to be present on the next day. It is uncertain if he was formally accused.

Record of Disruptions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has invaded a celebrity gathering. His Instagram profile features videos of him disrupting other star-studded functions, including breaching the performance area at Katy Perry's Sydney performance in June this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers event in the same location last year.

"Steps should be implemented taken against him as this is obviously a legal violation," stated an Instagram commenter, in a message to a video Mr Wen posted of his actions.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" one Instagram user wrote.

Fans Voice Worry Over Grande's Safety

Many supporters criticized Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had spoken of experiencing trauma-related anxiety after a suicide bomb attack at the end of her spring 2017 concert in Manchester, killing 22 people and harming numerous individuals.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" wrote another message on Instagram.

Some attendees also criticised event staff at the premiere for not being sufficiently alert; while others demanded digital services to remove Mr Wen's content.

Aftermath and Premiere Information

In clips spreading on the internet, Grande looked shocked when she was touched by the man. Her co-stars Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted consoling her while Mr Wen was escorted away by security.

Grande has not issued a statement on the event, and the remaining proceedings proceeded as normal.

They were accompanied by cast member Jeff Goldblum.
