Fresh Information Come to Light Concerning the Discovery of the Reiner Couple's Bodies

Recent details have emerged regarding the untimely deaths of esteemed director Rob Reiner and photographer Michele Singer Reiner, whose remains were located at their Los Angeles home property on Sunday.

A Alarm

As detailed in an account quoting a confidential source, a practitioner scheduled for an session initially became concerned after failing to get inside the residence. This individual then got in touch with the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who lives close by.

When she went into the house, Romy came upon her father's body. Reports state she then fled the house in anguish, without knowing at that moment that her mother's body was also inside. Another individual who had accompanied her promptly called 911. Afterward, first responders found Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Legal Proceedings

Law enforcement have formally accused the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with the charges of first-degree murder, including the alleged use of a deadly weapon, said to be a knife. He is currently in custody and is ineligible for bail.

Disputed Reports

The confidential informant challenged several earlier details. It was stated that while Romy Reiner informed emergency responders that her brother Nick resided in a separate structure on the property, she did not identify him as a suspect at that juncture.

Additionally disputed circulated notions that Rob and Michele Singer Reiner had been particularly "apprehensive" about Nick's conduct in the weeks leading up to the incident. Instead the family was "familiar with working through [Nick's] problems together."

This correction applies to descriptions of reportedly "unpredictable" behavior by Nick at a party hosted by Conan O'Brien on the night before the bodies were found. Although the source noted they were unable to confirm whether Rob had "scolded" his son at the party, they asserted that claims of a "major confrontation" between the two were untrue.

Investigation Details

According to law enforcement sources, the coroner had not yet established as of Tuesday whether the Reiners died Saturday night or on Sunday. Preliminary media reports indicated the state of their bodies suggested they had been dead for some hours.

Nick Reiner was taken into custody at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the Exposition Park area, some 15 miles from the residence. He was due to appear in court on Tuesday, but his attorney, Alan Jackson, said his client had not been medically cleared and would be unable to attend until no sooner than Wednesday.
