The Congressional oversight panel has released a collection of approximately 70 images from the estate of deceased convicted individual convicted of sex crimes Jeffrey Epstein.

This marks the third release from a larger collection of more than 95,000 images the body has acquired from Epstein's estate. It includes pictures of quotes from the book Lolita scrawled across a woman's body, and obscured pictures of female foreign passports.

This disclosure comes hours before the 19 December due date for the Justice Department to make public all documents related to its probe into Epstein.

"These latest images pose more questions about precisely what the DOJ has in its holdings," remarked the ranking member of the panel, Robert Garcia.

What's in the Photos Made Public

Some of the photographs published on recently depict Epstein in discussion with scholar and advocate Noam Chomsky aboard a private plane; Bill Gates standing next to a woman whose features is obscured; Steve Bannon seated at a desk across from Epstein, and former Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a dinner event.

These are the most recent affluent, influential figures to be seen in Epstein estate photographs disclosed by the committee - earlier released images also show US President Donald Trump and former president Bill Clinton, as well as movie director Woody Allen, former US Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, counsel Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and other figures.

Being pictured in the images is is not considered indication of any wrongdoing, and several of the featured figures have asserted they were never participating in Epstein's criminal activity.

In a press release issued alongside the image publication, Lawmakers on the US House Oversight Committee stated the Epstein estate did not offer explanatory details or dates for the pictures.

"Photographs were selected to provide the general populace with transparency into a illustrative selection of the photographs obtained from the holdings, and to give perspectives into Epstein's associates and his extremely alarming behavior," the announcement reads.

The disclosure also includes several photos of quotes from the Vladimir Nabokov book Lolita inscribed in ink across different parts of a woman's body, such as her upper body, foot, hipbone, and rear. Lolita recounts the tale of a young girl who was manipulated by a adult literature professor.

One passage from the book scrawled across a female's upper body reads, "Lolita: the point of the tongue traveling of three steps down the roof of the mouth to land, at three, on the teeth".

Additionally, there are a series of images of women's identification and official papers from countries globally, like Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

Most of the information on the IDs, including names and birth dates, is censored but the committee indicated in a press release that the passports are associated with "women whom Jeffrey Epstein and his associates were engaging".

Another photograph depicts Epstein seated at a table in close proximity surrounded by three individuals whose features have been redacted - one individual has her hand on Epstein's torso under his shirt, and a second is bending to examine a nearby device. Epstein seems to be assisting the third individual attach a piece of jewelry.

Another photo disclosed is a screenshot of SMS messages from an unidentified individual who claims they have been provided "several females" and are demanding "$1000 per girl".

Image Publication Comes Before DOJ Due Date

The committee has many thousands of photos in its possession from the Epstein property, which are "simultaneously graphic and mundane," its press release on recently noted.

The oversight panel first subpoenaed the estate of Epstein, who died in a New York prison in 2019 while facing trial on charges of sex trafficking crimes, in August.

The photos and documents the Epstein estate's representatives gave to the committee are separate from what is largely referred to "the Epstein files". That material are documents within the DOJ's custody related to its independent investigation into Epstein.

Pursuant to the recently passed law, which the President made law recently, the DOJ has until the date of 19 December to release its files. The extent of what is found in the DOJ's documents is unclear, and it's likely that much of the content will be heavily censored, similar to the committee's materials
