Mohamed Salah Issues Apology to Teammates, Discloses Curtis Jones
The Liverpool midfielder has revealed that the Egyptian forward apologised to the entire Liverpool squad following the controversy from his recent interview.

He was omitted from a vital match subsequent to voicing frustrations and claiming his relationship with manager had deteriorated.
“Salah is an individual and he can say his own stuff,” Jones told Sky Sports. “His apology was clear and was like: ‘Should anyone feel slighted, please accept my apology.’”
The manager has previously declined to disclose on whether he got an explanation from the 33-year-old forward.
Team Unity
Jones insisted that the squad's reaction remained positive. “He was his usual self, he was smiling and we all treated him normally,” he continued.
He also suggested that a player's desire to start is a positive trait. “I understand there are different methods you can go about things,” he said. “However, if a player is content to just not start, then I think that’s a bigger problem.”
Positive Results
Liverpool's form have remained strong in the period after the interview fallout. The player is convinced the forward's comments were never meant to cause disruption.
“When there’s been any sort of anger, it has consistently come from a desire to win,” Jones concluded. “That chapter is closed and we’re building chemistry, getting results and starting to win games.”
