Netflix Selects Spot-On Actor for Bon Clay in the Hit Series Upcoming Installment
The Secret Organization is geared up to make a major impact in Netflix’s upcoming season of One Piece, though the real showdown won’t take place until the third season, and a cherished, popular member has recently been selected.
The platform declared this week that Cole Escola has joined the One Piece season 3 cast and will portray Bentham. Bon Clay possesses the power to morph into an identical duplicate of anyone they’ve touched with their right hand. The performer, who is gender non-conforming and uses they/them pronouns, will play a version of that figure reimagined as gender non-binary, as opposed to as a drag artist, in the real-life adaptation, as in the initial comic and cartoon version.
The new cast member is joined by several other new cast members tasked with bringing the organization to reality, featuring chief Mr. 0, brought to life by Joe Manganiello, an emerging star as Miss Goldenweek, and an accomplished actor, who is also part of the cast as King Nefertari Cobra of the fictional land.
Though this character is a major member of the group, the persona will be introduced in One Piece the third season. Considering the next season expected to adapt the Little Garden storyline, this represents a major departure in the placement of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could suggest additional alterations to the plot development.
Their mix of precise humor and profound feeling makes them a ideal selection for the part. In addition to their recent voice performance in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and several accolades for writing and starring in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, showcasing the adaptability they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s widely praised figures.
Netflix's live-action One Piece show is scheduled to come back for its season two on March 10th, 2026.
