Warrick Stock, widely recognized as DJ Warras, was attacked in the central business district on a Tuesday afternoon.

Authorities reported the 40-year-old entertainer was confronted by three suspects, with one shot at him before escaping on foot.

The purpose behind the shooting is unknown and no arrests are in custody, according to authorities.

Authorities revealed that Stock was attacked as he was leaving a location near the city center landmark.

He had been present for hours at the building managing the setup of safety equipment, which had been illegally inhabited by unidentified individuals, it was reported.

"It is alleged the deceased was approached by three unidentified men after he parked his car, and they began shooting at him before running from the location on foot," a police statement said.

Surveillance tape reportedly captured a man with dreadlocked hair and wearing what resembled a guard's attire firing shots on Stock before running away.

The DJ attempted to flee after he was shot but collapsed across the street.

Police added that Stock had an weapon on his person and nothing was taken during the attack.
